Updates to the show include the addition of three fire knife dancers, a Hawaiian fashion show and an interactive hula lesson for guests. The luau’s venue, Sunset Terrace, also features a variety of updates, including resurfaced floors, elevated group area, complete ADA compliance, and redesigned tables and chairs. The luau will continue to offer guest-favorite’s such as traditional imu ceremony, live band and award-winning Tihati performers, buffet of authentic Hawaiian favorites, and open bar.
“We are proud to unveil these exciting updates to our beloved luau, and present to guests the renovations that we have been working diligently to finalize,” noted Allan Farwell, general manager at Hyatt Regency Maui. “With these refreshments, guests will continue to be inspired and welcomed by the magic of the Polynesian culture, and Drums of the Pacific will continue to thrive as the most exciting luau on Maui.”
The Drums of the Pacific Luau opened in 1981, and since then has entertained more than two million visitors who are treated well, fed well, and welcomed with authentic songs and dances. A complete immersion in the culture of the islands of Polynesia, the luau is a spectacular journey that thrives as the ultimate expression of island hospitality.
